I am an experienced, effective professional treating a broad range of psychiatric issues and conditions. Grounded in the belief that people inherently possess the knowledge and ability needed to overcome most of life's challenges, most need help to break through the cognitive defenses that obscure their perspective. I especially enjoy working with young adult males and I have substantial experience counseling struggling Emerging Adults. I specialize in working with Adult Males, Young Men, and Adult Women. Individual Counseling
Beginning with a comprehensive initial intake assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment plan, clients are usually seen on a weekly basis. Using a Person-Centered counseling approach grounded in Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI),Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (EBT), and a host of other effective types of therapy. The client is well cared-for and is empowered to heal, grow, and make meaningful, life-long changes.
Telemed/Virtual Therapy
Across the state of Georgia, busy people require more flexible counseling. Teletherapy can be done on a phone, computer, or tablet and provides effective and secure treatment. Using the latest technology, we make virtual counseling seamless and secure. With flexible scheduling, we can work around your busy life and provide convenient mental health counseling.
Anger Management Counseling
Our Anger Management Program is based on the most thorough, well-researched and interesting workbook on anger. It is filled with mini-essays about the nature of anger, practical exercises that translate these essays into useful approaches which will help the participant better handle anger-provoking situations. Also included are open-ended opportunities for participants to describe their actual feelings and experiences when angry. Using a weekly Anger Log and Workbook, participants learn to take responsibility for their anger reactions. This makes an anger management program a wonderful alternative to punitive incarcerations and fines.

Substance Abuse Counseling
I also specialize in working with Substance Use and Abuse. While many addiction counselors may treat the behavioral components of addiction/abuse, I treat the whole person including the very commonly co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar and personality disorders.

If you don't have insurance or have a high deductible that is not met, you will pay a reduced rate and be given a Super Bill that you can file with your insurance and potentially get reimbursed at the rate of your out-of-network benefits. This benefit, combined with the reduced rate, is often the same or close to the same as some people's co-pays!
